My niece always has a DIY project in mind when we visit, and this time she wanted to tie dye some t-shirts.
No one wanted to miss out, so we all tie dyed a shirt using a Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Party Kit which, according to Kinsley, "had a really good selection of dyes." (Why does she always sound like an ad?)
Here are some photos from our family tie-dye day. We can't think of a better way to close out the summer!
Kinsley made a couple of shirts, and for this one she used the bullseye technique.
Alex made a traditional spiral tie dye.
My mom went for the traditional spiral tie dye, too.
Carson did a cool stripey tie dye.
I used the sunburst technique for mine.
We were all really happy with how the shirts turned out, especially Kinsley, who was more than willing to pose in her shirt.
Summer is such a good time to tie dye since you can do it outside.
We had to practically drag Carson outside to dye his shirt. Despite his complaining, he did a great job with his dye. His shirt was one of our favorites!
I love how the dye splatters looked.
Here's everyone's shirts banded, dyed, and ready for the plastic bags to keep them damp.
