Vintage Pattern Giveaway

The giveaway is now closed. Congrats to winner Meg!

I love Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day because it helps me meet so many new crafters. Hello, there!

What I'm Giving Away
Three vintage sewing patterns:
Simplicity 6934
McCall's 7759
Simplicity 9610

These patterns represent two very lovely decades: the 70s and the 80s.

What You Have To Do
Just follow my blog, then leave a comment telling me about an outfit from childhood/teen years that you thought was really awesome, but now makes you cringe.

To be fair, I'll share one of mine. In 3rd grade (late 80s), I had a pink and white tie-dyed outfit (and when I say outfit, we're talking leggings with a tee shirt). The outfit was embellished with random pearls and bits of lace and doilies. I thought it was so cool that I had my spring picture taken in it at school. My, oh my. I'm sure I don't have to explain why it makes me cringe.

Giveaway closes May 10 at 9 p.m. EST. Winner will be chosen randomly from comments. U.S. shipping only. Winner will be notified by May 12.

  1. I'm coming to you from Sew Mama Sew - excited to be a new follower! I can't think of many childhood style choices I DON'T regret, but my favorite outfit was a terrible pair of hunter green jeans and a floral vest I wore ALL the time in the 4th grade! In hindsight... absolutely terrible. :)

  3. Followed you on bloglovin...
I don't know that any of my outfits were too atrocious but my haircut in middle school was awful! I have curly hair and thought bangs would be a good idea... NOPE!

  4. Followed you through GFC. I had a pair of pants in the early 70's that were blue (all different colors of blue) striped. I loved them then...lol

  7. I had a lime green shirt and blue and green shorts I wore for an entire summer in the 6th grade, and my family called it my summer uniform and laughs about it. ugh.
